Notably, this transfer comes two and a half years after he made a move to Borussia Monchengladbach for a hefty sum of £9 million from Sparta Prague.
Cvancara, who has represented Czechia eight times and scored once for the national squad, has faced challenges adjusting to the Bundesliga, managing to find the net only five times in 48 appearances. Tensions escalated dramatically towards the conclusion of last season, with reports emerging from Germany indicating that his teammates were dissatisfied with his behavior and performances.
In a shocking report by the German media outlet Sport Bild, it was revealed that his fellow players had called for him to be excluded from the matchday roster ahead of a crucial league game against Holsten Kiel, which took place on April 26, 2025.
